Page Tiles

A new page provides a fresh workspace. Once connected, the story will flow to the new Page. Click in the middle of the tile, and then Open to enter the page. Alternatively, select your page on the Page Tab Bar. Pages are perfect for new chapters, locations or routes your Title will take.

Pages can be created, deleted, renamed and copied in the Page Manager by using the buttons at the bottom. See further details here. They can then be selected in the Page Tile by double clicking on the tile and selecting the page.

Pages can be moved in the Page Manager by holding left click and dragging. This will alter the position of the page on the Page Tab Bar.

Creators can also enter a page and exit out in the previous page. To do this, connect extra tiles - such as Speak and Logic - after the page tile on the page you want to re-enter. When the new page reaches a "dead end", those tiles on the original page will activate. You may wish to select the "End Page" option instead, both function in the same way.

End Project will end the project, regardless on whether there is any more content to display.

Tips and Advice

Keep your project neat and tidy with the use of Groups, Junctions, Pages and Comments. This will help when debugging or collaborating.

Consider how you want to lay out your Tiles, and keep it consistent throughout your project. We recommend the “rail” approach, going left to right, then either back to left, or using a junction to go back to the left and continue to the right. However, you may consider the “Ladder” approach - having one central line and going up and down in a ladder pattern based on interactions, or a “Spider” approach of having one central tile that the flow spreads out around.

If you have conversations with NPCs (such as a shop) on one page, put a group around each conversation. This allows you to find the start and end points easier. Groups can have different colours.
